Jason founded CalFinder in 2005 in El Sobrante, California, and manages general strategic operations and business development to drive growth in the company’s product offerings. Jason established CalFinder to improve and simplify the home improvement process. He has led numerous initiatives to identify and execute new service and differentiated product opportunities within the contractor referral market. Prior to founding CalFinder, Jason was COO of Varsity Painting, a company known for its top internships in California. Jason managed their $10-million painting business and led the process to recruit painters and educate college students about how to run a business.
Gabe, who helped to launch CalFinder, directs global sales and operations. In addition to overseeing CalFinder’s sales team and managing growth of the company’s contractor base, he is responsible for new member acquisition, enrollment services and account management. Prior to joining CalFinder, Gabe was the general manager and sales manager for Varsity Painting, one of the largest construction companies in California, and was responsible for hiring and training a staff of 20 sales people and 50 production employees. Gabe oversaw sales operations, production and customer service for the company’s largest division. After recognition as the top sales person for Varsity Painting at age 20, Gabe was promoted within two years and given responsibility for training the growing sales staff.
Chris was a founding member of CalFinder and assumed responsibility for regional sales in 2006. Using his significant management experience and outstanding decision-making skills, Chris is an effective overseer for operations that include recruiting, interviewing and supervising CalFinder’s door-to-door marketers. He spearheaded CalFinder’s newsletter to homeowners and developed a strategic sales plan to grow contractor network. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Finance.
Melanie joined CalFinder in August 2008 to establish operational frameworks for supporting CalFinder’s impressive growth. Her responsibilities range from analyzing current performance to creating metrics and strategies to drive the business forward. Melanie has an extensive background in operations and market research. She received her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Melanie has a passion for home remodeling and eco-friendly design; she bought and renovated her first house at the age of 23.
Mike Bohnett officially joined CalFinder in early 2008 as Vice President of Sales. He has a proven track record of hiring, training, and supporting high-performing sales personnel. A liaison to CalFinder since its inception, Mike has finally come aboard to share his expertise of growing a company to the national level. Prior to joining CalFinder, Mike was the Director of Business Development for New Image Services – The Home Depot’s National Installer for Painting and Garage Floor coatings. Prior to that, Mike was Vice President of Varsity Painting, one of California’s largest residential painting companies.
Molly Celaschi joined CalFinder in 2009 to establish the Support department. With over 10 years experience in account management, operations, and loss prevention, Molly achieves a high quality of service across multiple markets, meeting or exceeding the pre-agreed business plan deliverables and key lead performance metrics. In addition to developing Best Practices for new clients, the CalFinder Support Department equips contractors with the tools they need to grow their business. Molly and her core group of six account managers coach new clients on booking new work, scripting and setting appointments with homeowners, improving their ROI, conversion rates and internal sales processes, as well as calculating marketing costs. They help contractors take their business to the next level. With a dynamic customer support system in place, Molly will continue to lead, motivate, and expand her team in 2012.

Brittany Mauriss is the Creative Content Editor for CalFinder. She joined the company in 2009 to increase online traffic, revamp the CalFinder Remodeling Blog and brainstorm new ways to grab the world’s attention. Her responsibilities include managing a staff of talented freelance writers, creating and editing articles for publication through CalFinder-owned websites, and assisting contractors with better press and internet placement. Brittany received her B.A. from UCLA in English and Creative Writing. Before CalFinder, she worked as a grant writer and director of grassroots marketing for the academic community. With extensive training in quality web copy and a passion for the written word, Brittany strives to elevate CalFinder content to unprecedented heights.
